Originally from London England, Alex is an award winning director, who has made stylish films with visual flair for over 20 years. He directs both drama and documentaries, writing and producing all of his own work.

 

Most recently Alex completed the drama Thai Meth Bust for the international hit series Locked up Abroad. Prior to that he directed two films for the ratings smash hit and BAFTA nominated series James May’s Toy’s Stories.

 

Occasionally Alex's films deal with difficult subject matter and some of his best work has also been his most challenging. The critically acclaimed drama Escape from Auschwitz, shortlisted at NY Festivals tells the incredible story of the incarceration and getaway of two prisoners from the Nazi's death camp. His feature length Mid Air Collision Over Britain, dramatises the chilling ‘what if’ scenario of two passenger jets colliding over southeast England. And his harrowing feature length, and Cine Golden Eagle award winning observational documentary Treblinka: Inside Hitler's Secret Death Camp, follows the work of forensic archaeologist Caroline Sturdy-Colls as she uncovers the previously unknown location of the camp's gas chambers and unmarked mass graves. 

 

In 2013 Alex co-founded Snap TV, a London based production company, where among other films he series directed the exciting 10 part global culinary adventure Ainsley Eats the Streets. 

 

Producing films for the global market, Alex’s work has been screened on numerous networks including; NETFLIX, Amazon, BBC, Channel 4, Sky, Discovery Networks, National Geographic, Smithsonian Channel, Channel 5 and PBS. 

 

In 2021 Alex relocated from the UK to Canada. He is based in Toronto.
